Grill Line Cook Wanted
We are seeking a talented and experienced lead grill line cook to join our fast-paced gastropub kitchen. The ideal candidate should have a passion for cooking, strong work ethic, experience in all aspects of the kitchen, ability to control the flow of the kitchen orders, set pace, give direction, work well in a team environment. This is a full time position, our gastropub opens at 2PM daily. The kitchen closes at 9pm Tues - Thurs and 10pm on weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Display expert knowledge of operating the grill, ovens, techniques, temperatures, and cooking times to consistently produce quality dishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development.
Open and close kitchen procedures.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong understanding of cooking techniques and methodologies.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Good time-management skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Work cooperatively with others in a team environment
- Ability to lift 20+ lbs as needed day to day.
